Passwords, Serial Numbers and Other Information.

One of the most requested appointments I have is for password problems.

I have seen a lot of different ways of keeping track of passwords and serial numbers. From sticky notes everyplace to little books in the top office drawer.

This may have been OK in the past but with so many now they are much harder to keep track of and you don't have them with you when and where need them.

I have found a simple way that works great for me and that is to use my Apple Address Book / Contacts and sync to all devices.

Since I have hundreds of passwords I need a way like this that I can "SEARCH" for the item as needed.

Apple ID, iCloud, Apple Store and iTunes are linked.

Apple passwords are all linked, the problem is that if you reset one password, all are reset for that account.

Remember if you reset a "Apple" password you will need to update all applications on all "DEVICES" that use it.

A great way to confirm or reset your Apple password is to go to

Microsoft also links account passwords for accounts and programs. Make sure if you reset one that you update all.

Use your "Contacts" to sync

and find important information

Make a new contact for each item that has information you want to keep track of.

Then you can search by a name or notes to find on all your iphones, ipads and computers.
